Please share with me the story of your ministry. When were you started, how would you describe the various seasons of your history leading up to this moment?
*
How would you describe the present season you're in as a ministry?
*
Describe the demographics of your community.
(ie: age, population, ethnicity, socio-economics, politics)
Describe the tone and personality of your larger community.
How would you compare your community, and the people of it, to other parts of the country? How would you describe the local culture? What's valued? What's not? What are perhaps the biggest idols of the community (kids, career, 'freedom/independence')? What is the most beautiful thing about the people of your community?
How has God uniquely gifted or resourced your community?
*
(ie: Maybe you have a uniquely large population of creatives and artists. Maybe you've been gifted with a location at a powerful crossroads of two communities. Maybe you've been graciously resourced financially, etc.)
How do you feel uniquely called in the season ahead?
*
Please be as specific as possible here. Instead of, "we feel called to fulfill the great commission," tell me something specific about the kind of ministry you're feeling led to be. Each ministry has its own unique mission and role in the body. Hillsong looks radically different than Redeemer Presbyterian, and Church of the City, even though they're all in the same city. If you had to simply describe the distinction of your sense of calling, how would you do so?
How would you simply describe the personality of the ministry?
*
If you had to personify the ministry, how would you do so?
*
(ie: Perhaps if a strong authentic-friendship community culture defines your church you'd describe it as a bubbly and joyful thirty-something single woman named Sarah. Alternatively, perhaps the church is better personified as a kind but reserved fifty-something professor type. Or maybe you're a church more like Hillsong and your personality would be better personified as a young single, and quite hip, artist.)
On a scale of 1-5 with 1 being "traditional," and 5 being "contemporary" — where would you place your desired identity?
*
(Note: Your desired identity, not how it feels currently)
On a scale of 1-5 with 1 being "immediately recognizeable as a church," and 5 being "not immediately recognizeable as a church" — where would you place your desired visual identity?
*
If you put 4 or 5 for the previous question, is there something else you would like to subtly reference in your visual identity?
(ie: a more generic nonprofit, local industry, or place of hospitality such as a hotel)
Do you have any existing desires for a specific color or colors to use?
*
Please share with me 5 links to logos of other organizations or ministries you feel strike a tone like what you hope to see here.
*
(Please make sure it's clear which logo I should be referencing at each included link.)
Thank you for submitting our initial questionnaire!
Once we’ve reviewed your responses, we may be in touch with any clarifications needed. Otherwise (assuming this has been filled out on time) look for your first flash sheet by the date already promised.
We’re excited to dive in here and give your ministry some striking new marks!
