Here are just a handful of additional questions I would love your responses to as I begin the visual exploration.

1. Visually, are there any symbols, images, or icons that have particular resonance with your vision for the church? For example, a church I worked with before was powerfully drawn to the image of kintsugi art, and uses that as a central metaphor for who they are. Another church centrally embraced the visual metaphor of a mosaic.

2. Similarly, is there any local imagery you would like me to explore? (For examply a distinct natural or architectural feature of the neighborhood.)

3. If you had to choose 3 words (yes, only 3) that, when put together, you think best articulate the desired TONE of the visual identity, what would they be? (ie: friendly, liturgical, artistic, edgy, academic, bold, historic, earthy, urban, mystic)

4. Please share with me 5-7 examples of brands you like, that is, that you feel capture something of what you hope this new visual identity will. These can be churches or organizations outside the church. That said, please make at least three of them not churches. With each example, please explain what it is that feels resonant with the direction you would like to see with this rebrand.

5. If you had describe the personification of the church you're hoping to be in the season ahead (not the leaders, or the neighborhood, but the church itself) how would you do so? For example, some would personify their church as a warm, bubly, 30-something small group leader named Jenny. Others churches as the hipster and artistic worship leader. Still others as the mature and intellectual (but perhaps somewhat reserved) professor type.
